Transparency - The City Continues To Push Most Current Information to Citizens

In an effort to provide citizens with the most current information, the City continues to expand the Notify Me tool on the City of Gig Harbor website.

Expect Delays on Harborview Drive Week of February 19, 2018

Harborview DR (Eddon Park to Novak Street) will be reduced to a one lane, 2-way configuration with flaggers from Monday, February 19th through Friday, February 23rd. Please expect delays and use alternate route as necessary. Thank you for your patience.

City Council Approves Contract for Gig Harbor Sports Complex Master Plan

The City of Gig Harbor will conduct public outreach for the creation of a Gig Harbor Sports Complex Master Plan.

Six-month Temporary Moratorium on New Residential Development

At their February 12th, 2018 meeting, the City Council passed Ordinance 1383 declaring an immediate six-month mortarium on the acceptance of certain residential development applications.

The Independent Salary Commission consists of five members that must be residents of the City of Gig Harbor. They cannot be city officials, city employees, or immediate family members of city officials or employees.

New for 2018: Apply for any Permit Online

Effective January 8, you may apply for any permit from the City online!

Building permits have been available online since 2011. This popular option is coming to Planning and Engineering permits and land use actions in 2018.
